Für die FortiGate-5000 Serie gibt es das FortiGate-5001SX Modul, das FG-5001FA2 Module, das FG-5005FA2 Module und das FS-5003 Switch Blade. (Dieses kann nur in der FortiGate-5050 und der FortiGate-5140 eingesetzt werden.)
Die FortiGate-5000 Serie erlaubt eine skalierbare Performance ab minimum 4 Gbps Firewall Performance (max. 70 Gpbs) und bis max. 8.4 Gbps VPN 3DES Performance. 1M - 14M concurrent Sessions, bis zu 70K site-site IPSEC VPN Tunnels und bis zu 1400K Security Policies.
